Independence

Our recommendations are editorially independent. No brand pays to appear on this site or to rank higher, no manufacturer sends us free products, and no commission rate has ever changed a pick. When a cheaper product is the better buy, we say so — even though the pricier one would pay us more. How the site is funded is spelled out on the affiliate disclosure page.

How picks are made

Every pick is scored against a published, five-part rubric. The scores are editorial judgments from documented research — not lab measurements, because we don't run a testing lab and we don't pretend to. We compile published specifications, do the math that matters to a gift buyer, and pull live prices.

Sourcing and accuracy

• Product facts come from manufacturer spec sheets and retailer listings, which we name and link in each page's Sources.
• A brand's marketing claim is treated as a claim, not a measured fact.
• Where we can't verify something, we say so on the page rather than quietly leaving it out.
• Prices render only from live data and are date-stamped; stale numbers disappear.

What we refuse to publish

• Invented star ratings, review counts, or testimonials — ever.
• Claims of hands-on testing, owned units, or a test lab we don't have.
• Sponsored placements dressed up as editorial recommendations.
• Prices we can't verify against live retailer data.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and we'd rather fix them fast than pretend we don't. If you spot a factual error or a stale price, email info@jetandjot.com or use the contact form. We aim to correct verified factual errors within 48 hours, and material corrections are reflected in a page's "last updated" date.

Editorial content is written under a real, named byline and framed honestly — as an enthusiast's well-researched take, never as a credential we don't hold. More on who's behind the site is on the about page.
